Fall Activities For New Moms That Don’t Feel Like A Chore
As a new mom, it can be difficult to find activities to do with your baby, or even for yourself, that do not use up all of your energy. Below are five fall activities you can do that double as self-care for mama and baby.
1. Stroll Through the Park
Take a stroll through a park or even a paved trail to see the falling leaves and enjoy the cooler weather. This can serve as a time-killer or even a reset for your body to get you and your baby out of the house and into nature.
2. Pumpkin Handprints
Creating something that you can keep throughout the Fall season is always special. Take some washable and kid-safe paint, paint your baby’s hands and/or feet, and press the prints onto a small pumpkin. These can be displayed throughout the house or even gifted to family and friends.
3. Cozy Pajama Day
Grab your favorite pair of Fall pajamas, or even matching ones with your baby, and have a chill day watching movies and eating fun snacks. This is one I like to recommend in particular for mamas who have had a busy week and need a day to reset.
4. Make a Simmer Pot
The perfect way to get yourself and your space in the Fall mood is by making a yummy scented simmer pot. You can add cinnamon sticks, oranges, apples, etc. and have your home smelling just like Fall.
5. Costume Photoshoot at Home
We all know as new moms that you do not want to miss those special moments, especially around holidays and new seasons. For this low-effort activity, grab a few costumes, or even some Fall props from around the house, and have a photoshoot with your baby. You can even take this a step further and create a scrapbook or digital photo album to keep or share.
Final Thoughts
Whether you only have the time or energy for something small or you decide to go all out, nothing beats spending time with your baby. Just remember to soak up every moment and enjoy it!
