In-Person Doula Support
Overnight Postpartum Doula Support
Helping families get the rest they need with calm, experienced overnight support.
Nighttime Can Feel Daunting- You Don’t Have to Do It Alone
Lack of sleep is one of the biggest challenges new parents face, and it can create anxiety around the long nighttime hours- especially in the early weeks.
Whether this is your first baby or your fifth, sleep matters. Rest allows you to heal, think clearly, and show up as the best version of yourself during the day.
Overnight postpartum doula support provides experienced, in-home care during the night so you can rest with confidence, knowing your baby is being supported by a trained professional.
What to Expect During an Overnight Shift
A typical overnight shift is 9:00 pm–6:00 am (9 hours), though 8 and 10 hour shifts are also available depending on your family’s needs.
Your doula supports you, your baby and the household throughout the night and remains available to respond as needed. When all care tasks are complete and your baby is resting, your doula may also rest- allowing them to remain present and responsive throughout the shift.
Overnight Support May Include:
-
At the beginning of each overnight shift, your doula will check in with you, talk through the day, answer questions, and provide hands-on education or support — whether that’s bath time, swaddling, baby wearing, or troubleshooting feeding and soothing.
Support is always tailored to what your family needs most that night.
-
Responding to baby’s cues
Diaper changes
Soothing and settling
Swaddling and comfort techniques
Supporting safe sleep practices
-
Bringing baby to the birthing parent for feeds or providing bottle feeds
Burping and settling after feeds
Pumping support and bottle preparation
Supporting breast, bottle, or combination feeding
Your doula works with your feeding preferences to help maximize rest while keeping baby well cared for.
-
While parents rest, your doula helps set the household up for a smoother morning by assisting with tasks related to overnight care, such as:
Washing bottles and pump parts
Light kitchen cleanup
Laundry (for mom and baby)
-
Your doula is also there to:
Talk through how the day went
Answer questions that came up
Offer reassurance and education
Help ease nighttime anxieties
Every Overnight Doula Client Receives:
✨ One Complimentary Prenatal Visit
Before your baby arrives, your doula will:
Get to know you and your family
Discuss feeding plans and nighttime preferences
Help you prepare your space for overnight support
Answer questions so you feel confident and comfortable
✨ Ongoing Support Between Shifts
Full-time text, email, and call support throughout our working relationship

Insurance & Reimbursement

I always encourage families to check with their insurance provider to understand:
lactation coverage
certification requirements
reimbursement policies
If you’d like help determining whether my services are the right fit based on your insurance benefits, we can review this together during a discovery call.

Post-NICU Transition Support
Compassionate, knowledgeable in-home support as you bring your baby home from the NICU.
Bringing Your Baby Home After the NICU Can Feel Overwhelming
Bringing home a new baby is emotional for any parent- but when your baby has spent time in the NICU, that transition often comes with an added layer of fear, uncertainty, and anxiety.
After weeks- sometimes months- of monitors, schedules, and medical oversight, it’s normal to feel anxious about being fully responsible for your baby’s care at home.
You don’t have to navigate this adjustment alone.
Care Rooted in NICU Experience
As a former NICU registered nurse, I bring firsthand experience caring for medically complex newborns- both in the hospital and in the home after discharge.
I understand:
the emotional toll of a NICU stay
how intimidating discharge can feel
the transition from highly monitored care to independence
the need for reassurance, education, and calm presence
My role is to help bridge the gap between NICU care and home life- supporting you as you step into this next chapter.
Post-NICU Support May Include:
-
Talking through your baby’s discharge instructions
Helping you feel confident with care routines you’ve been taught
Answering questions that come up once you’re home
Normalizing common worries and emotions after NICU discharge
-
Supporting feeding routines
Helping you read your baby’s cues
Assisting with soothing and settling
Supporting daily rhythms and transitions
Important Note: If your baby requires specialized care at home, such as tube feedings that parents are already trained to provide, I can offer hands-on support, education, and reassurance- while medical tasks like changing or managing feeding tubes remain outside my scope of care.
-
Processing the NICU experience
Easing anxiety around home care
Offering reassurance during moments of doubt
Creating space for rest and recovery
-
Helping care for your baby so you can rest
Supporting siblings or household flow
Light tasks related to baby care to ease the transition
This support is always tailored to your baby’s needs, your comfort level, and your family’s unique situation.
Pricing
Post-NICU transition support is customized based on your family’s needs.
Rates vary depending on:
length of support
frequency of visits
location
your baby’s specific situation
Because every NICU journey is different, pricing and scope are discussed during a consultation to ensure the right level of support.
While I do not bill insurance directly, I am a certified provider for programs such as Carrot and Progyny, and many families are able to receive reimbursement for doula services. I encourage you to explore your employer or insurance benefit coverage.
You don’t have to make this transition alone.
Let’s talk about how post-NICU support can help you feel calmer, more confident, and supported as you bring your baby home.
